LOCK DOWN & EVACUATION POLICY AND PROCEDURES, REVIEW AND FEEDBACK

A full review of your LOCK DOWN AND EVACUATION and SEMP, (school emergency management plan). This would usually take place with the Head teacher, Owner, Director or Business Manager. An up-to-date policy and plan will be produced with a review of building, logistics, and response training tailored to school and building specs.

TRAINING OF THE ICE CATS PROGRAMME - 2 Day program

This training incorporates all staff, parents and students from the ages of 2/3 yrs upwards to adults, Facilitating response training, silent signals and strategy for dealing with a worst case scenario situation and planning for possible escalation that is age appropriate.
Staff brief is a one hour session,
Parent sessions can be accommodated into a one hour session or two (i.e. a coffee morning and coffee afternoon).
Student sessions are a 30 minute session taught to a class of no more than 30 students
(approximately 6 to 8 session can be accommodated each day) times and sessions can be arranged to accommodate availability.
We advise this time become 45 minutes for year 5 – 10 and for year 11 and above is a one hour session to accommodate the more detailed questions that arise. Training for colleges and teachers in training is tailored to specific requirements.

ON GOING SUPPORT

ICE CATS will provide ongoing support and updates and facilitation based on government strategise and changes to UK regulations and requirements subject to updates or change. School can contact ICE CATS at any time via call or email to request support for any eventuality or situation (all shared information will be handled in the strictest confidence unless it has underlying safeguarding issues the will be shared with the appropriate bodies and department as required by law) deployment of staff in a SEMP with focus SEMT, Peer Observations and feedback constructive to onsite visits.
This list is not exhaustive and can include many other aspects of operating your setting.

New STAFF TRAINING DAY and/or new class intake; INCLUDING REPORT BACK TO MANAGERS AND EVALUATION OF IMPACT OF TRAINING (this can be accessed anytime throughout the school year)

Training could be around Observations, Planning, Early Years Foundation Stage Welfare Requirements and how to evidence that you are meeting them for OFSTED purpose. We will work with staff and where appropriate, the children, to assess impact of training day attended with guidance for improvements.

PARTNERSHIP WORKING

Setting could utilise one non-specific day to include liaison between school and businesses renting space on school grounds or providing alternative provision (breakfast club, after school, clubs … ) including joint meetings, policy development and compliance with School. *Legally anyone on site must comply with your policy and procedures for fire, lock down and evacuation …

PARTICIPATION IN ANNUAL AWARDS AND RECOGNITION (Included with the service level agreement)

This is a fun activity to promote healthy inter provision competition to raise awareness and beat times for response. To recognise staff or students who have shown a level of awareness, knowledge and understanding of aspects of safety in any environment. This extends to other schools or organisations that are part of the ICE CATS family. (This can be price tailored to meet the cost of medals, they can be awarded for *inspiring safety,
*initiative, *courage, *teamwork, *top cat award.)

UNLIMITED TELEPHONE SUPPORT (Included with the service level agreement)

Unlimited telephone support is part of a Service Level Agreement.
Additional Information; All Service Level Agreement support can be provided off site VISITS
and TRIPS and can be tailored to meet your requirements.
